Setting up WordPress

   WANNA LEARN HOW TO SET UP WORDPRESS?

WordPress is a free and open-source content management system (CMS) based on PHP(the language WordPress written) and MySQL. 

WordPress is easy for beginners, yet powerful for developers. If you are a beginner, here are some tips to set up WordPress. In this article we are gonna learn setting up manually.

STEP ONE: CREATE A DATABASE

In this step, I am using DirectAdmin.

 

 

It will look like this when you finish setting up. You can be sure that you are done when you see the ‘Database Created’ writ.

STEP TWO: USE FTP

In this step you have to use FTP. This is the most useful way to download WordPress set up files. 

Download FileZilla for this step.

FileZilla is a powerful and free software for transferring files over the Internet. It is a very popular FTP client and is used by webmasters from all over the world. Do not forget that users cannot use the FileZilla Server to connect to other serves. you have to use FileZilla Client.

When you done downloading FileZilla, open WordPress folder and copy the files to the right page. This might take some time.

 

STEP THREE: SET UP WORDPRESS

Write your Domain Name for this step. 

You will be asked to select the domain name where you want to install WordPress. Choose your domain from the dropdown field. 

In the next page you’ll need to enter your site title, username, and a password for your website. You can change them later in WordPress settings if you need to.

 

Congratulations! You have created your first WordPress website. You can login to your WordPress site using the admin username and password you entered earlier.

Now let’s move on to the next step and choose a design for your website.

STEP FOUR: ADD CONTENT TO YOUR SITE.

You have created some content on your website to customize and put it all in a nice presentable shape on your website. 

Click Appearance to add content and much more details.

You are finally complete your website! You can make changes whenever you need.
